DESCRIPTION
The SFPE Benelux Chapter organizes a visit to “the Rotterdam” for its members. A remarkable building, on the bank of one of the busiest rivers in the Netherlands, and a building that stands out in the Rotterdam skyline, with special fire safety requirements. Just imagine the risks associated with pool fires on the river, affecting the façades of the Rotterdam …
In the morning we start with a presentation by a fire safety expert involved in the design of “the Rotterdam”, highlighting the challenges and solutions to meet the fire safety requirements.
In the afternoon a guided tour is offered through “the Rotterdam” to see the results.
The SFPE Benelux Chapter will also provide a complimentary lunch for the participants.

Vanaf het Centraal Station Rotterdam:
• Neem metrolijn D of E richting Slinge of De Akkers
• Stap uit bij metrostation Rijnhaven.
• Neem onder het metrostation bus 77 richting ss Rotterdam, uitstappen bij halte Rechthuislaan.
• Loop de Rechthuislaan in.
• Verhalenhuis Belvédère is aan het einde van de straat links, op de hoek.
Te voet
Vanaf metrostation Rijnhaven. Duur ongeveer 15 minuten.
• Loop vanaf halte Rijnhaven richting Brede Hilledijk.
• Ga rechtsaf de Veerlaan op.
• Loop voorbij het Deliplein tot aan de Rechthuislaan.
• Verhalenhuis Belvédère is daar op de hoek.
Waterbus
• De Waterbus heeft vele haltes, o.a. Willemsplein (naast de Spido) en St. Jobshaven (Lloydkwartier)
• Prijs enkele reis vanaf die haltes naar Katendrecht: € 1,- (ook met OV-chipkaart)

• De halte van de Waterbus is sinds 10 april 2017 verplaatst: naast het ss Rotterdam.
