SFPE has extended the deadline to submit abstracts for the 2021 SFPE European Conference on Fire Safety Engineering. SFPE conferences have established a reputation globally as the premier events for keeping abreast of advancements in fire safety engineering. SFPE Europe has been addressing the regional needs to facilitate greater networking, collaboration, and exchange among fire safety engineering professionals as well as a pursuit of technical knowledge and education.
This conference will be a significant benefit to all fire protection practitioners, such as engineers, designers, regulators, enforcers, insurers, developers, and building owners and managers. Contributions and conference attendance on a global basis, and particularly from Europe are encouraged.
Call for Abstracts
We invite you to participate in this event by submitting an abstract for an opportunity to present as a breakout track speaker. All interested individuals are asked to complete this form in its entirety and submit abstracts by June 30, 2020. Please note that the conference language is English. Presentation abstracts should provide sufficient detail regarding scope, results, and applications to determine the quality and applicability of the engineering concepts that would be presented. The abstract will be used to assess the presentation when selecting the final program. If your presentation is accepted, the presentation summary you provide below will be used for marketing the event and published in the program. Presentations must be noncommercial in nature and are expected to be 20 minutes in length with an additional 5 minutes for Q&A. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Europe Conference Program Committee, and notifications are expected to be shared with all prospective speakers by September 2020. If accepted, the presentation slides will be due by January 19, 2021.
Additionally, all invited speakers will be required to complete an extended abstract to be included in the conference proceedings published by SFPE. Detailed instructions, as well as format requirements and deadlines, will be given to invited speakers.
