Engineering A Fire Safe World

The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) is the professional society representing those practicing the field of fire protection engineering. The purpose of SFPE is to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members and to foster fire protection engineering education.

The SFPE Benelux Chapter has been established in 2012 with the same objective as our Headquarter office and aims to be the platform in the Benelux where Fire Safety Engineers can exchange ideas, discuss new technologies, and network with colleagues from around the world.

Dear SFPE Benelux members,

I feel honored and privileged to inform you that I have been elected as the new chairman of the SFPE Benelux Chapter. In this renewed Chapter we want to create an active forum to discuss major opportunities but also challenges to be addressed the next couple of years in our precious fire safety industry and ever-changing world.

Hence, together with our Board Members it is my ambition to further develop our Benelux Chapter with following objective focus ;
• To inspire and attract more engineers to become Member of our Chapter;
• To promote knowledge sharing between Members and other SFPE Chapters;
• To organize and participate in events and online forums that benefit our Members and the Fire Safety community at large.
The plan is to organize a major event in Antwerp in the autumn around the theme: the future of fire safety. International speakers are invited to discuss topics about sustainability, digitalization, technology, globalization and other developments in our field.

Kind regards,
Looking forward to meet you soon.
