SFPE is Seeking Public Comments on the Roles within Fire Protection Engineering. (Deadline to submit comments is 7 April 2021)
The SFPE Professional Competency and Credentialing Subcommittee is accepting comments on the roles and scopes that will be used to correlate the Recommended Minimum Technical Core Competencies for the Practice of Fire Protection Engineering to the jobs fire protection engineers perform. These fifteen (15) roles and their scopes can later be used to help define metrics to assess the competency of professionals serving these roles. In addition to feedback on the information presented, if there is a role that is not identified, please submit that with the scope information for the committee to consider.
