Dear SFPE Benelux members,

I feel honored and privileged to inform you that I have been elected as the new chairman of the SFPE Benelux Chapter.

In this renewed Chapter, we want to create an active forum to discuss major opportunities, but also the challenges that must be addressed in the coming years within our precious fire safety industry and ever-changing world.

Our focus for the renewed Chapter

Together with our Board Members, it is my ambition to further develop our Benelux Chapter with the following objectives:

• To inspire and attract more engineers to become members of our Chapter.
• To promote knowledge sharing between members and other SFPE Chapters.
• To organise and participate in events and online forums that benefit our members and the wider fire safety community.

Looking ahead

The plan is to organise a major event in Antwerp in the autumn around the theme the future of fire safety. International speakers will be invited to discuss sustainability, digitalisation, technology, globalisation, and other developments that are shaping our field.
